Dysgraphia

Also known as: Disorder of written expression, Specific learning disorder in written expression

A neurological learning disability that affects written expression, including handwriting legibility, spelling accuracy, and the ability to organize thoughts in writing. Dysgraphia can make text entry and written composition cognitively exhausting, creating significant barriers in digital environments that rely heavily on typing. Assistive technologies such as speech-to-text tools, word prediction software, graphic organizers, and alternative input methods are essential accommodations, and accessible form design that minimizes writing demands and provides clear error correction supports users with this condition.
