Joint Hypermobility

Also known as: Hypermobility, Double-Jointed

A condition in which joints move beyond their normal range of motion, often associated with connective tissue disorders like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Joint hypermobility can cause chronic pain, frequent dislocations, and difficulty with tasks requiring grip strength or sustained hand positions. Assistive devices that stabilize joints or reduce the force needed for daily activities are commonly used.
