National Library Service
Also known as: NLS, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled
A program of the Library of Congress in the United States that provides Braille and audio materials to eligible borrowers who are blind, have low vision, or have physical disabilities that prevent them from reading standard print. The NLS operates through a network of regional and local libraries. For musicians, the NLS offers some large-print music scores, though the available selection and size options are limited, and the service does not typically provide customized Modified Stave Notation.
