User Preference Profile
Also known as: Customization Profile, Personalization Profile
A stored set of user preferences and settings that can be automatically applied to new content, reducing the need for repeated manual customization. In video accessibility for ADHD, user preference profiles could store preferred layout, background, caption, and audio settings and apply them as defaults for new videos. Machine learning could refine these profiles over time based on user adjustments. Profiles help address the customization paradox by reducing the number of decisions needed while still allowing individual override, and are particularly valuable for ADHD users who may find repeated customization tedious or distracting.
