Inclusive Immersion
A design objective for VR that seeks to create maximally accessible and enjoyable virtual and augmented reality experiences for users with different capability levels. The concept recognizes that immersion and enjoyment should be achievable regardless of disability, and that accessibility is not just about removing barriers but about ensuring the quality of the VR experience is comparable for all users. Inclusive immersion requires attention to all layers of VR accessibility—physical hardware, digital design, and experiential quality—and acknowledges that disabled users deserve rich, engaging VR experiences rather than merely functional ones.
