Tactile Screenshots
Also known as: Tactile UI Representations
Embossed or raised representations of graphical user interface screens that allow blind users to explore software layouts through touch. Tactile screenshots preserve the spatial arrangement of UI elements such as buttons, icons, text areas, and navigation elements, enabling blind participants in design workshops to understand and contribute to software interface design. They bridge the gap between physical prototyping of hardware and the design of software that will run on that hardware, and are particularly useful when working with technologies like 2D tactile displays where both hardware and software design are important.
