Manual Dexterity

Also known as: Fine Motor Skills, Hand Dexterity

The ability to use hands and fingers to perform precise, coordinated movements. Reduced manual dexterity can result from conditions such as arthritis, neurological disorders, injuries, or aging, and affects the ability to use keyboards, mice, touchscreens, and other input devices. Accessibility considerations for users with limited manual dexterity include larger click targets, keyboard navigation, voice input alternatives, and reduced reliance on precise pointing or dragging interactions.
