Low-Vision Rehabilitation
Also known as: LVR, Vision Rehabilitation
A multidisciplinary service aimed at helping individuals with reduced vision regain functional independence in daily life. LVR combines assistive technologies, guided training sessions, and adaptive strategies tailored to each person's visual abilities and needs. Programs typically begin with assessments of residual and functional vision, followed by targeted interventions that may include training in eccentric viewing, visual search strategies, use of magnification devices, and practice with activities of daily living. Research shows improvements in both functional outcomes and quality of life.
