Vocational Inclusion
Also known as: Employment Inclusion, Labor Market Inclusion
The meaningful participation of people with disabilities in the labor market, encompassing not just job placement but access to professional development, training, career advancement, and equitable working conditions. Despite international policy frameworks like the UNCRPD and SDG 8, people with disabilities remain significantly underrepresented in employment and overrepresented in low-wage and precarious jobs. Vocational inclusion requires systemic changes including accessible workplaces, adaptive technologies, supportive policies, and organizational culture shifts.
