Sustainable Development Goals

Also known as: SDGs, Global Goals

A collection of 17 interlinked global goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity by 2030. Several SDGs are directly relevant to disability inclusion: SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth, promoting productive employment for all), SDG 10 (reduced inequalities), and SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities). The SDGs provide an international policy framework for advocating disability-inclusive development and measuring progress toward equitable participation in work, education, and community life.
