AT Information Access
Also known as: Assistive Technology Information Access
The ability of people with disabilities, caregivers, professionals, and other stakeholders to find, understand, and use information about assistive technology products and services. Effective AT information access requires content that is available in relevant languages and dialects, presented at appropriate literacy levels, accessible through commonly available technology (such as mobile phones), and affordable in terms of data costs. In low and middle-income countries, barriers to AT information access include limited internet connectivity, expensive data costs, low digital literacy, shortage of local-language resources, and lack of trained professionals who can provide personalized guidance.
