Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis

Also known as: ABSA, Aspect-Level Sentiment Classification

A natural language processing technique that identifies both the specific topics or aspects being discussed in text (such as food quality, customer service, or pricing in a restaurant review) and the sentiment expressed about each aspect (positive, negative, or neutral). Unlike general sentiment analysis which assigns a single sentiment to an entire document, aspect-based analysis recognizes that a single review may contain mixed opinions about different aspects. In accessibility applications, this technique enables the reorganization of unstructured review content into structured, navigable formats that are more efficient for screen reader users, who can then access summarized opinions about specific aspects of interest rather than reading through entire reviews sequentially.
