Web Transcoding

Also known as: Content Transcoding, Web Page Transcoding

The process of transforming or reformatting web page content to make it more accessible or usable in different contexts. Transcoding techniques include removing irrelevant elements, reordering content, adding skip links, and simplifying page structure. Originally developed to help screen reader users navigate cluttered web pages more efficiently, transcoding can also benefit users on small screens, low-bandwidth connections, or those experiencing situational impairments.
