E-Health
Also known as: eHealth, Electronic Health
The use of information and communication technologies for health services, including electronic health records, telemedicine, mobile health applications, and patient portals. E-health aims to improve healthcare access, efficiency, and quality, but accessibility barriers in e-health systems — such as complex interfaces, poor screen reader compatibility, and low digital literacy requirements — can exclude people with disabilities and older adults from managing their health digitally.
