Deep Learning
Also known as: DL
Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses artificial neural networks with multiple layers to learn complex patterns from large amounts of data. In accessibility contexts, deep learning powers many assistive technologies including automatic image description for screen reader users, sign language recognition systems, speech recognition for captioning, and predictive text for people with motor impairments. Deep learning models require substantial training data and computational resources but can achieve high accuracy on tasks like image classification and video recognition.
