Ontology
Also known as: Web Ontology, Knowledge Ontology
In computing and information science, a formal representation of knowledge within a domain, consisting of concepts, categories, properties, and the relationships between them. Ontologies enable machines to reason about and process domain knowledge in structured ways. In accessibility, ontologies have been used to model disability phenotypes (such as the autism spectrum) and map user characteristics to appropriate interface adaptations, supporting personalized and adaptive user experiences.
