Syntactic Accessibility
Also known as: Technical Accessibility
The dimension of web accessibility concerned with the correctness of code sent to the browser and assistive technologies. Syntactic accessibility focuses on whether HTML markup, ARIA attributes, and other technical elements conform to standards so that content can be properly parsed and presented by screen readers, voice control software, and other tools. It represents the "sender's perspective" on accessibility — ensuring the code is technically correct — as distinguished from semantic and procedural accessibility, which address user comprehension and interaction flow.
