Universal Accessibility

Also known as: Accessibility for All

A broad approach to accessibility that goes beyond technical compliance with specific disability-focused guidelines to encompass the needs of all users regardless of age, experience, cultural background, or ability. Universal accessibility considers not only coding standards but also the predictability of usage patterns, consistency of interaction across similar websites, and alignment with real user needs identified through actual use cases. It extends the principles of universal design into the digital domain, recognizing that barriers can arise from cognitive differences, varying digital literacy levels, and diverse cultural contexts — not only from sensory or motor disabilities.
