Neurodevelopmental Disorder

Also known as: NDD, Neurodevelopmental Disability

An umbrella term for a group of conditions that originate during the developmental period and involve impairments in cognitive, social, emotional, or motor functioning. Common neurodevelopmental disorders include autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual disability, and learning disabilities. These conditions often co-occur and can significantly affect adaptive behavior and everyday functioning. Digital accessibility for people with NDD requires attention to cognitive load, predictable interactions, clear navigation, and customizable interfaces that accommodate varying attention spans and processing speeds.
