Line Tracing

A reading technique in which a user physically follows lines of text with their finger or a pointing device, typically while receiving feedback to maintain accurate positioning. In assistive technology contexts, line tracing is fundamental to finger-based reading systems for blind users, where the reader traces across printed text while receiving audio or haptic directional guidance to stay centered on the line. This approach provides a tactile connection to physical documents but demands significant concentration and physical dexterity compared to capturing an entire page at once.
