WYSIWYG

An acronym for "What You See Is What You Get," describing a user interface paradigm where content displayed on screen during editing closely resembles the final output (such as a printed document). While WYSIWYG editors are standard in word processing, they can present accessibility challenges for dyslexic users because the on-screen display may not be optimised for reading comfort. Some accessible word processors separate the reading/editing view from the print layout, allowing users to customise screen appearance for readability while maintaining standard formatting in the output document.
