Case Study

Also known as: Case Study Research

A research method involving an in-depth investigation of a single individual, group, event, or situation in its real-world context. Case studies combine multiple data sources such as observations, interviews, and documents to build a detailed understanding of the subject. In accessibility research, case studies are valuable for exploring how individual disabled users interact with technology in naturalistic settings, capturing the complexity and nuance of lived experience that larger-scale quantitative studies may overlook.
