BlindSquare
A GPS-based iOS accessibility app designed for people who are blind or have low vision, providing spoken information about the surrounding environment — nearby points of interest, intersections, street names, and compass direction — drawn from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare data. BlindSquare is widely used for outdoor wayfinding and travel planning, and includes a "simulation" mode that lets users preview unfamiliar routes before leaving home. It is considered a reference implementation among blind-navigation apps alongside tools like Soundscape and NavCog.
