Digital Health
Also known as: eHealth, Digital Health Intervention
The use of digital technologies — including mobile apps, social media platforms, wearables, telemedicine, and AI tools — to deliver, coordinate, or support healthcare services and health information. Digital health spans clinical, public health, and community applications, and raises specific accessibility concerns around connectivity, device access, digital literacy, language, and cultural fit, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Accessibility-focused digital health design must account for users with disabilities, caregivers, and community health workers, rather than treating technology as a neutral information channel.
