Focusmate

An online platform that facilitates virtual body doubling by matching users with accountability partners for timed video co-working sessions. Users keep their cameras on, state their goals at the beginning of each session, and report on progress at the end. Focusmate creates dyadic accountability through one-on-one pairing and includes reporting features where users can flag unproductive partners. The platform exemplifies how digital tools can recreate the accountability benefits of physical co-presence for remote workers and students, particularly those with ADHD who benefit from external structure and social motivation.
